I need help solving a problem I've encountered. I need to replace parts of a plastered ceiling in a house from 1976, and the ceiling plaster is beveled lengthwise but unfortunately only 10 mm thick. I have tried using regular beveled ceiling plaster, but since it's 12.5 mm, it clearly shows a height difference in the bevels.

How should I "cheat" it together? I'm considering cutting and beveling renovation plaster, but since the grid panel is at 300 mm centers, there's a risk it will sag.

Any suggestions? It's only a small area of 4 sqm that needs to be redone due to a removed wall and relocated electricals.

If you nail more studs for a closer c/c distance and then shim with masonite strips before you install the renovation plasterboard, you should be able to make it work.

That's what I was thinking too, but because of a jungle of VP-rör, I ended up planing off 2-3mm from the glespanelen instead this morning.
