Hello, I have a house with a basement originally from 1946, but due to an extension and a subsequent repair in connection with a door replacement, it seems there are 3 different types of concrete in the basement. I wonder what types of concrete these are? Image 1) Extension? Image 2) On the right, repair?

I am in the process of attaching interior trim around the window in image 1, but since the window opening is not horizontally level at the window sill, I want to fill under the trim to get it level. What type of mortar or adhesive can I use here?

  • Window in basement with level tool on sill; view of green yard outside. Tools and DIY materials are visible indoors. Discussing types of concrete and window leveling.
  • Concrete wall with visible cracks and two types of concrete; white cables and metal rods are attached, suggesting electrical work or reinforcement.

It's not concrete, it's mortar. You can use a C-mortar and plaster mortar.
I think you mean to get the reveal level and not the trim; it's easier to place something in between than to work with mortar. Trim is installed after the reveal.
In image 2, it looks like lightweight concrete blocks on the left, concrete hollow blocks on the right, and lecablock on top.
