Hello!

I am looking for zinc plates, but I can't find where to buy them. Does anyone have any tips?

Best regards,
Sophie

What are zinkplattor and what should they be used for?

Steel plates made of zinc material. Should be quite thin, and about 50'50 cm. Planning to use them as countertops.

The "platslagaren" fixes them at home for you, but for "bankskivor"? They scratch very easily, I have put up some splash guards made of sheet zinc, and they work for that.

Okay, thanks for the tip! Not countertops for the kitchen, but for a planting table :)

OK, maybe better with a stainless steel instead, about the same price. The zinc plate self-heals minor scratches, but not deeper ones, and basically, it's an ordinary iron plate, which can rust if it comes in contact with water or moisture.

Zinc is not common sheet metal, it's actually zinc and it does not rust. What you're thinking of is probably aluzinc which is a coating of zinc, aluminum, and silicon.

Stainless steel sheet costs around double what zinc costs, and zinc costs around double what regular steel sheet does. Aluzinc has the same price as painted steel sheet.

Stainless steel sheet costs about twice as much as zinc, and zinc costs about twice as much as regular steel sheet. Aluzinc has the same price as painted steel sheet.
OK, thanks for the correction, I have taken your knowledge to heart.
