Currently tearing down an interior wall and saw these yellow spots on the ceiling beam that has now been exposed, what could it be? (I could not easily determine which forum this should belong in unfortunately, sorry if it is wrong.)

Looks like mold. Is the wood damp?
 
Definitely doesn't look like mold. However, I can't determine what it could be from the picture. If it's an inner wall in a permanently heated house, it doesn't matter. Just cover it up. Most likely, it's old remnants from when the beam was exposed in an unheated space. Just like the weathered wood and woodborer holes.
