I have installed wood studs 45 x 70 as sole plates and top plates for my first interior wall. It turns out that the width of those studs is 69 mm, while the ones I bought for vertical installation are the 70 mm they are supposed to be. Now I'm wondering if the missing millimeter on the sole plate and top plate will have any impact when I screw on the drywall? It's only half a mm on each side, and the drywall will be subjected to pressure when I screw it at the top and bottom. Or should I just go ahead and screw it on?

I bought the 70 mm studs from XLBygg and the 69 mm ones from Byggmax. Should I expect the width to vary between suppliers?

The width can vary with the same supplier and over time, mainly depending on the moisture content in the wood.

But in answer to your question, no, it won't matter if it differs by 1 mm.

Or is it just about screwing on?
yes, but you don't need to screw right at the transition

the studs that are 69mm are probably dried more than the 70mm studs

Quick and clear answers! Thank you, I'll continue carpentry.
