wood paneling on the wall but as thin as possible

I'm considering installing horizontal wide wood paneling in the small entryway.

I'm a bit worried that it will become even smaller - only 110 cm wide at the start and after 1 meter about 2m wide, about 2.5 m long entryway.

Wide planks are probably 22mm so almost 5 cm will disappear.

Are there stylish solutions that don't take up so much space?

Click flooring on the wall? Looks nice. And you can use it with laminate as well!
No scratches. Builds between 6-14mm.

found pre-painted 15x118 mm v tongue so I bought it, we'll see how it turns out
