Hi,
I have come to the painful realization that the race is over when it comes to finishing the deck railing before winter is upon me. :'(

The question then is what should I do with the 21x95 fine-sawn pressure-treated wood that's waiting to be transformed into spindles? One might spontaneously think it can stay there, after all, it's not exposed to anything it wouldn't be if it were already mounted?

On the other hand, I don't want to risk it warping, or collecting moisture between the boards and freezing or rotting or something.

Prop it up a bit above ground and cover with a tarp? Do I need to place spacers between the layers (I assume it leaves ugly marks on the boards)? :-?

You can stand them on edge and stack bricks or similar around them so they shouldn't warp too much.
