Hello! I have taken over a business in a space that I rent from the municipality. The previous owner/tenant had the space for over 30 years. Managed it themselves and kept the rent down. So I would prefer to do it myself too.

However, she has nailed and screwed quite a bit into the trim, which is melamine. I want to do something about it but don't know what is best. Or rather, what is easiest.

Three large windows. 150 cm wide.

I dislike melamine. Ugly. Difficult to work with.

I don't feel like replacing the entire trim. Seems difficult. A lot of work.

So right now I'm considering gluing/screwing MDF and a molding. But maybe it's not as simple as I think.

Tips? Melamine window frame with visible nail holes and damage.

Spackle and paint.
