Hi,
I applied a white latex sealant around the inside of our new window. It was white and nice when I was done but then turned translucent when it dried. How could that be?

Are you sure it was white then? I have indeed made the same mistake when I was supposed to seal door casings, picked one that looked white, sealed, then it became transparent. It was a transparent sealant I had taken, I saw when I read the tube.

It was white when I put it on, so it should be white then? Otherwise, aren't they usually transparent?

Mine became transparent after drying. What does it say on the joint?

Ahh! It doesn't say anything on it but I have a similar transparent one where it states that it is. Maybe mislabeled or something, thanks for the info that it is white upon application. Unlike silicone
