Hello,

We moved into a new house a few months ago and are in need of wardrobes. We're thinking of building closets into the wall in the bedroom, but this probably means we also need to tear down the existing wall. So in other words, it's a bigger project that will be done a bit later.

So our question is how does such a job work? Can you use, for example, wardrobes that you buy at IKEA, or do you construct them entirely from scratch?

Another idea is to buy IKEA wardrobes, assemble them in another adjacent room, and when the time comes, use these wardrobes for the built-in? Good? Bad?

Maybe I wasn't entirely clear but what I'm referring to is IKEA's PAX system.

Works perfectly to build in :). Attaching image of our built-in PAX. Built-in PAX wardrobe in a bedroom with wooden sliding doors and a small picture attached, under a modern ceiling light.
