Hello

I'm going to hang a very heavy painting with glass, 1x1 meter, and they provided steel wire, noting that I should use it.

A bit worried about the weight since a single screw has to hold everything, what do you recommend and should I use a wall plug? I have drywall and underneath it looks like this (old picture) whatever this is.
A hand holding a plastic bag with steel wire and metal brackets for hanging a heavy glass picture frame on the wall. Wall with four circular holes revealing electrical wires and a wood panel behind drywall, used for context in hanging a heavy picture frame.

In the picture, it's OSB on the left and plywood on the right.
Regardless, you usually just use regular wood screws for such a wall.

Okay, is that what some in the industry call "plyfa"? I need to use a sturdy wood screw, do you have any brand recommendations, or I'm so afraid the picture will fall?

Brand doesn't matter much, but make sure it is a round-headed screw and not countersunk. Without knowing your exact conditions, perhaps a 5 × 30-40 screw could be suitable? If you want to be really secure, you can take a 6 × 40 hex screw.

It's correct that the material on the right is called plyfa!
