Hi,

I am trying to install a mirror in my hallway. On the other side of the wall is a bathroom and a closet. I have tried drilling two holes. The wall seems to consist of approximately 1.5 cm thick layer of what I guess is gypsum. After that, there's an empty layer approximately 1 cm thick. Beyond that, I am unsure. On the bathroom side of the wall, it seems to be some wood-like material.

On the closet side, I am unsure. It looks white. However, there are plastic plugs that have been successfully used on this side of the wall before. Maybe someone here recognizes these. I am attaching a picture.

I know nothing about different building materials and am generally confused. If anyone has tips on how I can proceed to understand what type of wall I am working with or has any tips in general, I would be very grateful.

Best regards,
Erik
