Hello.
I've looked at various tables but still can't figure it out...
A house with an open ceiling up to the ridge except over the bathroom and bedroom, there will be a loft above that. It will become a bedroom or something similar up there later.
I drew a picture that explains the question, I think.
I was thinking of a 45x220 beam across about 6m, preferably with just 45x70 posts underneath, but I can place them closer together + make some stronger support around the door opening down the middle. There's a stable heart wall all the way?
The blue ones in the picture might instead be mounted with joist hangers in the red one.
But is 45x145 enough for the blue ones? The span for these will be about 3.5m over the bedroom section and about 2.5m over the bathroom section.
