I'm wondering, as the title says, what kind of steel is used.
It's the detail closest to the door that I want to mimic.
I believe it should have a bevel with a small angle, maybe 15 degrees, and a short rounding nearest to the center, cutting 1cm.
But I can't find any such iron at, for example, the toolbox? Surely, this isn't done in two passes with two different irons?
The result should be like in the picture. Very common in 50s-60s houses. And now too, I think?
