Hello! Today's silly question:

I need to install frames in the laundry room (IKEA kitchen frames). On the wall, I've had to place a 50mm drainage pipe - so I need to attach a batten to the wall, extending 50mm. On this batten, I can then attach IKEA's metal rail for hanging the kitchen frames.

But I can't have a wooden batten directly against the basement wall. How do I do this?

A steel profile probably can't support an IKEA kitchen. I've renovated two whole floors - but this is the first time I'm tackling the basement and need to consider non-organic materials and moisture.

Do you put a steel profile and then a wooden batten in the steel profile? Or how do you do it?

Do you have to use the skenan?

Place the cabinets on legs in all corners, the attachment to the wall is easiest done with a longer angle bracket that is screwed into the top edge of the frame or where the fittings for mounting on track/wall should be placed.
