Will be building a foundation wall with Leca 350 blocks, partially below ground. The foundation wall will be clad with Platon mat overlapping with butyl tape down to the footing. Crawl space! Not a basement.
The designer has drawn stainless steel reinforcement in every layer. These are outrageously expensive, and my trust in the designer is not the best, as there have been some simple mistakes.
Is it really necessary?

I once read a pool guide (Weber?) where they recommended FZ bistål so maybe that's enough?

I think so too! But the price difference between galvanized and stainless is quite small. Regular untreated ones are really what I'm wondering if one can use? But maybe it's foolish to take the risk.
