Consideration 1:
We will have three channels from three fireplaces in the same chimney stack.
At the bottom around the fireplaces, we were thinking of masonry (red brick or lightweight concrete blocks). We have a ceiling height of over 4 meters, so the question is whether we can cut corners a bit and not build all the way up. Perhaps we can use wood framing, drywall, OSB, mesh, and plaster on top?
But there will be weight from above if we build a fireplace on the upper floor directly above, will it work? Or would we need a lighter stove on the upper floor in that case?
Consideration 2:
Regarding the pipes in the chimney stack, is there only one option, like insulated pipes from Scheidel or Premodul? I assume these pipes are quite expensive? If we choose to build all the way instead of cutting corners at the top, can we use other pipes then?
