We are renovating an old "Skånehus" and are now considering what to do with the walls. They are made of adobe and some parts are adobe and brick. We want to plaster all of them and are considering which mortar to use. We would like to be able to put up and hang some things on the walls without the surface layer falling off! Which is practically what it's doing right now...
We will also plaster the walls in the kitchen. We won't have any upper cabinets, but I want some shelves, so we probably need to put up some framing. Is there anything we should consider in material choice since adobe does transport some moisture?
