Planning to install ceiling moldings in a room with concrete walls and ceiling.
Initially thought of installing polystyrene moldings, but am starting to consider whether I should go for classic cove moldings made of wood instead.
The question is whether they can be attached with the same type of adhesive used for polystyrene moldings?

No, not the same adhesive. You need strong adhesives. But you'll get the same appearance with styrofoam, and it's easier. http://inredningslist.se/butik/taklist-i-polystyren-hunnebo-2-meter/

So, are they easier with styrofoam?
Don't they always need to be painted? We have already finished the walls and floor and don't want to have to paint the moldings.

haven't tried painting them before.
go with pre-painted wood then

Yes, that's probably what I'll do.
Which glue is preferred for wooden strips that need to be attached to concrete?

I would go for PL400 and use white plugs.

Yes, it can't just be glued, it must be plugged as well.

If you're going to use wall plugs anyway, it feels a bit unnecessary to bother with glue as well?

nope. plugs can come loose

Okay. But what kind of studies are you talking about? I assume it's not the same traditional studies that I'm thinking of..?

there are those who like klippspik and stålspik.
common white spikplugg in a good length

The simplest are polystyrene moldings that you attach with latex caulk. If you have white walls, you may need to paint the moldings if the color deviates too much.

If you haven't installed cove moldings before, polystyrene is preferable. It's not the easiest to miter cove moldings.

it's darn tricky to cover when everything else is done. you don't want "polystyrene" white

We have unpainted moldings in the kitchen with gray walls. It works perfectly with the white shade.
However, in another room, we had to paint because it deviated too much from the other woodwork and the ceiling.

Unpainted trim against gray kitchen walls, a window with a white frame, and a wooden floor with a ladder and broom present in the room.

nail them, only available in different colors, absolutely no glue needed. going nowhere
