Hello!

I have just replaced the stack and also the waste vent a bit up on the roof. The insulation that was there had a little poor coverage and furthermore, it won't be possible to reuse it.
Is it common to use glass wool insulation rolls here?

Since it is tight and there's only a 45mm stud between the vent pipes and the inner wall down by the toilet, I will use 45mm thick insulation.

Best regards,
KaliZ

Insulation around pipes and ventilation stack in an attic, with some torn and loose material, following a renovation project.

Sewer pipes do not need fire insulation, press in what fits.

I see I was a bit unclear. :)
The sewer pipe is so close to the ventilation that I need to wrap the sewer and ventilation together in the same package.
So the question is more whether there are any requirements for fire rating or any other requirements when insulating around supply/exhaust ducts.
