Hello
What can be used instead of putty, which has such a long drying time and can only be applied in smaller layers? I have deeper holes in the wall and a deep groove in the ceiling that I need to fill. Something I can throw in that then takes a day or so, to then putty the final finish. No strength is needed.

In the ceiling, there is a longer part where an old wall stood against the ceiling before the plaster was applied. So it is about two cm deep long groove that I need to fill to get a smooth ceiling again. I want to fill everything at once so that I might only need putty for the surface layer.

Then there's a corner that was damaged when the wall was removed. Consists of lightweight concrete/black stone-like material. Needed to keep the last piece at an outer corner, but a piece fell off and broke. About 12 x 10 x 7 cm (height/width/depth).

Grateful for tips.

Plaster filler or house fix?

Thanks. I have actually seen that before. Is there a ready-mixed type, some kind of filler you can recommend? Like at Jula, Biltema, Honrbach which I have nearby.

Only house fix I've tried myself, don't remember where I bought it.

Gypsum plaster is unbeatable for the purpose.

If you want ready-mixed, this one is good

It is one liter, and your hole is 0.84l
I agree with this. Lightweight filler is easy to apply, dries quickly, and doesn't shrink.

What is really the difference between lightweight filler and regular filler that takes forever to dry if you fill deeply?

How fast it burns

Thanks. Seems perfect. I checked, didn't seem to be available in Stockholm. They can't possibly be out everywhere.

I do need more than just for this hole. A longer groove in the ceiling too where the wall stood, about 200×10×1 cm. And actually the entire plaster part on the corner from floor to ceiling as well. At least surely 8 times as much is needed. It's getting a bit expensive.

Well, as you ask, so shall you receive

Buy gypsum plaster and mix it yourself. It's cost-effective.

Thanks. I'll look it up. First time I've heard the name.

Exactly, then you get a whole 25-kilo sack for under two hundred.
Gypsum mortar, gypsum plaster, gypsum - different names for the same thing.

Found this at Bauhaus. https://www.bauhaus.se/gipsputs-1

Sorry, it was powder. Looking for pre-mixed. But maybe it doesn't exist.
