Hello.
I'm working on the final touches in the lower hall and having difficulty choosing a cover strip or what might work best in this situation.

I've torn everything down and put up new drywall on the walls and ceiling. Against the stairs, I would need to create a neat solution against the drywall and also in the ceiling where it was previously lowered with a beam that the ceiling trim rested on.

I've looked around at moldings but have a hard time seeing which would look best. Can anyone come up with some ideas?

  • Staircase with unfinished wooden steps and new drywall installation, next to a wooden paneled wall.
  • Hand holding a wooden plank or trim piece against a wall, possibly as part of a home renovation project seeking advice on selecting moldings.
  • Staircase renovation in a lower hallway with exposed wood steps and newly installed drywall on walls and ceiling, seeking ideas for finishing touches.
  • Ceiling and wooden wall under renovation with visible beams and drywall patches, seeking trim ideas for a clean finish in lower hallway.
