I just finished the form (edge elements + foam + reinforcement) for the pool foundation and it's time to order concrete. I'm planning for it to be delivered with a chute that will reach one corner of the form and then manually distribute the concrete.
The pool manual suggests regular C28/35 but I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to go with SKB in this case? This way, I wouldn't need to vibrate it, and mainly, it might flow out a little easier as well - or does it increase the risk of segregation with manual handling?
So what do you say in this case, SKB or not?

I used SKB in the pool and wouldn't do it again. Yes, you avoid vibrations, but it was difficult to get the surface right, so I had to sand it to get it right. I will need to fill in a bit because bubbles become pits when you sand.
If I were to do it again, I would have used the regular one and smoothened it.

I had the same thoughts when I was going to cast a foundation slab and had planned to use SKB. I was advised against it by the concrete company as it is more difficult to handle and requires a very good casting mold. I ended up using S4, which flows out well and doesn't require a lot of vibrating. But talk to the concrete company you plan to use, and they'll give you advice on your choice.
