I have bought tiles and will put them on some type of board which in turn will be attached behind the sink in the stable.

I was thinking of using a minerit board but then I read that it moves a lot if exposed to moisture.

The conditions are an unheated space (insulated wall behind) and some splashing.

Ideas?

You can use renovation plasterboard that you screw or glue onto the wall, then roll with e.g., Casco Aquastop and then tile on this. The tiles are attached with e.g., Casco Tile Adhesive.

Tiling should be done on "dead" material such as plasterboard so that it does not crack with moisture and temperature changes.
