Planning to install a special threshold between the hallway and bathroom, the idea is to glue it down, maybe use some screws but preferably not.

I would like a good adhesive, but not too strong because if I ever want to remove it, I don't want to damage the floors.

Which glue is "just right"? hehe

Some small dabs of silicone might work. Or some even smaller dabs of PL400. It's probably important to have "just the right amount" of glue... hehe ;);) Does the threshold need to be glued to any part of the floor? You don't happen to have a gap between the floors right under the threshold and, for example, a concrete slab in the gap? That would reduce the risk of breaking something if you have to remove the threshold.

Is it not possible to glue it with a play of 1mm? Then you can take a piece of guitar string and saw off the glue if the need arises.
