I looked in the lila-magazine and got hold of rödek from a guy in the countryside. 6 pieces of 3m lengths about 35-40 cm wide and 6.5 cm thick, all for 850:-. This was supposed to become tables among other things, but has now been used for thresholds and the like. Probably still enough for a table anyway.

Skåne, the Kågeröd area. It was a while ago, but he had a decent stock of various types of wood. It's possible that I've saved the number somewhere in my paper chaos. I can try to look for it if it's of interest.

I have bought custom cut "privately sawn" oak for about 2 times the price they charge for regular spruce stuff at any building store - it's probably just a matter of asking the nearest forest owner stingy enough to have time for such things and it will work out - oak does have some downsides alongside the advantages ... .
