Hello,
I'm currently renovating my apartment and need to find stylish thresholds. I found this picture (link to image: https://pin.it/6xyv4maf523in2) and that's how we want to do it in our apartment. One of the thresholds has some unusual dimensions (150mm at the widest part) and therefore it would be best if we could buy a whole brass sheet to cut out the thresholds ourselves.

Where can I buy one like in the picture and what thickness do you think I need?

Thanks in advance.

A larger sheet metal shop can arrange it with all the measurements you need

You won't be able to cut yourself, the sheet metal worker cuts straight and nicely, just chamfer/debur it a bit nicely and then you probably need a 3 mm so it can withstand a bit and not deform.

I have similar ones at home, I use 0.7mm and it works perfectly! Thinner ones definitely wouldn't have worked.

I would also recommend deburring a little, otherwise, it gets really sharp on the edges.

Probably voting for up to 3 mm as well. Something around a millimeter or thinner will reveal unevenness with any gap or height difference. Made a fireplace plan in brass at 2mm which turned out really well but would have laid even better if it had been 3mm.

Absolutely let the sheet metal worker do the cutting, no chance of doing it nicely yourself and you can't cut these thicknesses with scissors even if you try. Jigsaw along the track if you absolutely have to try.
