Where can I find "fake bricks" ?
Know that I have seen something similar at Fredells in Stockholm. It was like chipboard pieces the size of bricks that were split so that the back was flat and the front was rough like brick. These were glued up and then painted in the color you want. I myself considered using these around my arch but abandoned the idea since the fireplace is quite close and it would have been too much brick.
My wife's cousin came across a batch of regular bricks (cheap) and went to a stone company that cut it up in no time. It turned out really cheap and nice. Additionally, it's much more genuine with real brick instead of painted plaster. Of course :
it's not a real brick wall anyway, but you probably get what I mean. Fake materials are ugly and fake.

Please have a look at the page http://www.lpsdan.se/
Check the dealer network, and you'll see that it is the products available at Beijer and others mentioned above.
The price of this has a huge difference. It doesn't depend on the product but seems to depend on the markup the dealers have (as well as LPS having a markup on the price).
This is produced in Belgium and sold throughout Europe.
I'll also throw up a question. Where do you think it can be found most cost-effectively? I'm considering Germany myself.

Sigh, only one retailer in Stockholm (Fredells) known for overpriced products......
Follow-up question, can this material be mounted on a slightly damp basement wall, or is there a high risk of it coming off later (our walls are cement plastered against granite foundation where you need to use lime or silicate paint to allow the wall to "breathe").

But they only have 3 colors, it is 15mm thick.
Lots of retailers in Stockholm and the surrounding area
