I am planning to cast an elongated 19 cm wide and about 10 cm deep foundation using quick-setting concrete and leca balls. I am wondering when I can start laying the leca blocks. Can I start the day after? It is only two layers of blocks where a non-load-bearing wall will stand, so there will not be much load on top.

It entirely depends on the temperature. If it is around 20 degrees, it is fine to start the next day, but if it is colder, it takes longer. If you are unsure about how the curing is going, you can test it with a suitable tool. For example, you can take a medium-sized screwdriver and press it against the concrete surface.

Ok, thanks. Alternatively, I might have to go for slightly more expensive snabbetong.

Chose the quick-setting concrete, but now it turns out I won't be doing the masonry just yet. However, I need to remove the formwork, can it be done after just over 20 hours, or should I wait longer? It's about 12 cm at the thickest part.

Regarding the casting: Now I rinsed the mixer between each batch. Do you have to do that, or can you just keep mixing until you're done?
