Brick grill area - when can you start burning
I built a grill area a week ago, and I've been watering it all week so the mortar doesn't cure too quickly.
(the packaging said to water for 3-5 days depending on the weather).
Now I'm wondering, when can I start using the grill? Is it too early now after a week?

Old bricks and mortar B from Byggmax.
No one who knows?
Seems like 1.5 weeks of drying time was too little as thin cracks appeared in many joints during the test firing yesterday.
Or is it that one should have used refractory mortar. I didn't even know that there were different types of mortar until last night when I started searching..
