I have a garage where there is a gap between the slab and the driveway. If water runs into the garage, it flows into the gap. That can't be good for the slab over time, right? What would you fill the gap with? What type of mortar should be chosen? Gap between garage slab and driveway, allowing water to seep through. Concerns about long-term effects on the slab; seeking advice on filling material.

No strange solution, that one. The water that ends up there doesn't create any problems. If you still want to seal the gap, you do it with a customized sealant. Mortar will come loose over time.

Which sealant is good to use?

There's so much to choose from. Turn to a real building supply store and you'll get the right function and color.

Rickard.
Recommend bitumen-based sealant for foundations. Available "everywhere"
