Hello
I have varying needs for fine cutting of window sills, doors, MDF boards for my own bookshelf, and ripping of boards, etc. I'm considering a band saw, table saw, or plunge saw. And would appreciate tips on any affordable options in the mid-price range.
Best regards/

I think you should get a hand-held circular saw (Hikoki C6BU3)

thanks for the response but have similar Makita, need to ensure more precise cuts.

It sounds like you should invest in a track saw based on what you describe as the intended use. It is optimal for window recesses, etc. Then you can cut them so they follow the wall exactly if they are, for example, slightly wedge-shaped. It can also be done well on a rip saw/table saw, but a track saw is hard to beat when it comes to such jobs.

If you can use guide rails with your hand circular saw, I would complement it with a good table saw (which I have just done). The table saw is very good if you need to make parallel cuts, or repeat measurements, with precision.

If you already have a circular saw, change the blade to something suitable for the task and use a straightedge and clamps when you need more precision.

A band saw doesn't seem so useful for the tasks you describe, so I would avoid it.

Thanks for the answer

Thanks, it will be one of those.
