What type of plaster?

I'm in the process of sprucing up the laundry room. I've chipped away loose plaster and sanded down some old paint. I'm considering what to use to plaster the surface. The foundation is uninsulated so I don't want it to become airtight, rather use something that allows for breathability. Should I use plaster mortar C or gypsum plaster and then apply silicate paint on it?

Or should I use something else based on how the surface looks? I want a painted surface.

No, it ended up being gypsum plaster and silicate paint. Right or wrong, I'm not sure, but it was easy to work with and the result was good. The paint hasn't started peeling yet, so I think it'll be fine
