Masonite? Asfaboard? Or special boards for the purpose? What are your experiences?

We have slightly thicker, maybe 5-6 mm masonite and it hasn't moved at all in 8 years.

There is special, impregnated plywood. It is usually called "blindbottenskiva" or "-board". It is laid on supports of planks that are nailed under the floor joists. We used thick asfaboard (19 mm against standard 12). It works well but is not penetration-proof, which is a requirement if craftsmen are involved.

I have installed underfloor heating, water-borne. So I mounted a façade board, 50 mm thick mineral wool as a subfloor.

Then I put in battens as a support for the ceiling.

That way I get extra insulation against the basement and crawl space.

I used trossbottenskivor (thicker masonite) which also come in the right width for a cc60 floor structure :)

As you can see, there are many solutions and none are wrong, take the one you feel is good for the wallet :D
