Hello.

We have built an outdoor staircase on a concrete slab. In the slab, we have made a hole for the drain.
My question is, what material should I use to create a slope towards the drain?

I have looked at leveling compound, but it is only for indoor use. The material needs to withstand frost. I asked for fine concrete, but it was not recommended according to the store I visited.

The area is not large, about 1-2 square meters.

One more question. Is it only cast iron drains that are suitable for outdoor use?

A bit difficult to understand what you mean, but to cast a slope outside, fine concrete should work well.

Prime first with cement water.
If you buy ready-mix bags of fine concrete, add a little extra cement so that you get a higher strength of the concrete.
Mix the concrete quite stiff (less water) so it becomes frost-resistant.

Greater chance it holds well if the plaster coat is 3cm or thicker.

Ok. I was a bit unclear there. There is a wall around the slab. I've made a well on the slab to remove the water.

Now I know how to proceed with the concrete.

Is a cast iron well the only option?
