Found a box of this, but what is it? About 10cm in diameter and 5-7 wide.
Looks like some joints, but for what? A white, ribbed plastic ring approximately 10cm in diameter and 5-7cm wide, possibly used as a joint or connector, resting on a cardboard surface.

Joints for clay pipes.

Aha! Then the follow-up question comes.
How likely is it that I would have clay pipes when the house is from '78? Didn't they use plastic then?

Not entirely impossible.

So very much later I recall that a classmate in fourth grade, we're talking the year 1981, drained around the house, or the parents did the draining, and then clay pipes were laid down, in 1981. From there, I remember these joint rings. So into the '80s anyway.
