A log frame on a foundation, with an added stairwell. The stairwell has shifted slightly at the bottom on the base, so its wall at the bottom is not parallel with the log house but more like a "banana". As I plan to open up the floor and insulate, I thought I would try to pull it together or at least secure it so it doesn't bend further. I was thinking of drilling a hole in the log and one in the sill of the extension. I'll use rebar with threaded rod welded onto it. I can access the outside of the extension and have threads with a nut there. In the hole in the log, I want something on the rod that can be inserted into the hole and expand like an anchor when I pull it out. It may be unclear, but is there anyone who understands what I'm getting at?
