I'm looking for a quick-setting glue that I saw a carpenter use.

He applied some glue and then sprayed it with something like a hairspray bottle, after which he put the pieces together... pressed for a moment and voilà, they were stuck together.

Does anyone know where to get this, what it's called, or if there's any other good quick-setting glue?

If it was wood he glued, he probably used polyurethane wood glue. It cures with the help of moisture.

I think it was a quick glue, e.g. from Loctite, he used and sprayed on an accelerator.

Common polyurethane glues are usually sprayed with water using a plant spray bottle. They can be found in regular hardware stores and cost around a hundred kronor. PU glue cures with the help of moisture.

There are many other exclusive glues with unique properties for special cases, but they tend to be expensive and have a short shelf life.

there is something called "Mitre bond" but keep in mind that it contains isocyanates which, as far as I understand, are carcinogenic

sold via LGcollection in Sweden but they don't sell to private individuals, however, they sell to, among others, Beijer who can bring it home to you, costs about 350:- for 1 bottle of glue and activator

Pu-lim does want some moisture, but I don't know if I agree that they are particularly fast-curing. I believe more in the suggestions about a special adhesive.

Yep, it was wood he glued. I'll check around in stores for the glue you recommended, as I need it quite urgently. The carpenter will come back after New Year and then I'll ask him :)

Bostic Wood Glue is probably the most commonly available PU glue. You probably won't have to search for long...

Otto Chemie`s "Rapid" is hard after 5 min. d^_^b

Definitely a cyanoacrylate adhesive and an accelerator.
