I have five pallets standing in the yard after some small projects I've done. What do I do with them? Throw them away at the dump, or can they be returned somewhere? I doubt anyone would want to pick them up when there are so few.
If they are EU pallets, you can get a few tens for them depending on their condition. There are many who collect these. For example, there was one in Kungens Kurva before, not sure if they are still there now.
If they are not EU pallets, just cut them up and burn them or take them to the dump.
If they are EUR-pallets, you can also get "pallben" (don't know what they are really called) and they become quite good work tables for smaller tasks. You can also cut the surface without much thought using the plunge saw (just watch out for nails for the sake of the saw).
I buy these pallet legs from [REKLAM]. Bought mine 10 years ago and they still hold up, a great investment if you ask me! I've been thinking about buying a few pairs in other sizes too.
I use these both as a workbench and dining table when we have lots of guests at outdoor parties, etc.
§5 Cheaper here too!
This is a consumer forum, by and for consumers.
However, I would never shop from companies that don't have literate staff!
You never know when you might need a pallet, set them aside and wait and see.
I stack firewood on them, use pallet legs to make workbenches.
Once built over a brook, the base for my trash can holder. The possibilities are endless!
I built a dock out of pallets. A couple ended up on pallet legs and work excellently as a workbench.
I think it’s silly to throw them away, there's always a use for a pallet!
Before dragging in pallets and making tables and other things out of them, consider what might have been on them. It could be anything from cement, oil to corrosive stuff.
Pallets that private individuals have are usually "construction pallets" that have passed the stages of being an A pallet and B pallet to finally become a construction pallet.
It might be a good idea before placing a cinnamon roll on the pallet table or licking the bed frame...
/ Mikael - who thinks a pallet is a pallet and nothing else...
Had some pallets lying around and needed a woodshed. A couple of 95x95 beams, a piece of metal roofing, two pallets as the floor, and 2x2.5 pallets as side walls (built against the outhouse so the "back wall" was already done) took a couple of hours and turned out really well.
