Hello,

I'm building an extension where we have a gable roof open up to the ridge, but we are choosing to make a regular/flat ceiling with plasterboard over half of the extension.

We will attach joists between one exterior wall and the load-bearing wall (the one that goes up to the ridge). Here the span will be 2.5m on the joists.
It can be done at cc600 or 1200.
On that, there will be battens and plasterboard.

The ceiling will not have insulation, all the insulation is between the roof beams as we have open to the ridge on the other part of the extension.

Between the ceiling and the roof, there will be a space where we can run ventilation and electrical, etc.

What would you recommend for the dimension of the joists?

Thanks for the help,
// Erik

took a picture of how it looks now. It is exactly 2.2m and it's on this side that the inner ceiling will be. The other side of the middle wall will be open. Insulation and plastic will be the same throughout the ceiling.
45x145 cc60 should be enough?

120x45 is more than enough.

great thanks, cc60? ☺️

What are the gipsskivor?

If you're planning to set sparse, then cc60 is more than enough

sets sparse on cc30
45x120 cc60 will therefore be good
