I have a small 13 sqm log cabin interior. I'm planning to install a wood stove in one corner, and due to fire safety regulations, I need to build around it with masonry. I'm thinking of building on a rigid board directly on the floor. The floor joists are 45*170 + 45x45 with 30 cm spacing, attached with joist hangers.
I estimate the weight of the masonry plus the stove and metal chimney to be around 600 kg. This is on about 1 sqm in one corner. What do you think? Taking up the floor and building from the ground up is not an option right now.
