I have just purchased two sheets of minerit that are intended to go behind the upcoming stove.
At the bottom, we are planning to use tiles but above that, fabric, is it possible to weave on minerit or is it better to paint directly on it?

Thanks!

Minerit is completely smooth, right? If so, you can just paint on it. It depends on how you want it to look when it's finished :)

Yes, it is relatively smooth. Applying microlit on the rest of the walls in the room.

Another question, can you then putty the screw holes in the minerit?

Maybe not too good to paint directly behind a stove, it gets hot and the paint can bubble.

microlit withstands heat well, so see if you can find a paint that can withstand heat, then you might be able to paint on.

Well, I can apply the microlit on the minerit, but can I use regular putty underneath?

Need to check that with heat-resistant paint.

Of course, you shouldn't paint with regular paint. As usual with stoves, it should be spetziale :)

You can fill the screw holes with GYPSUM, I think it's heat resistant. A bit expensive to buy a bag of it though, but that's what I know :)
