Weave on basement wall?

What do you think about putting fabric on basement walls? I'm planning to make a bedroom in the basement of our house, which was drained in 2010.

Then paint with Nordsjö täckplast, which is a breathable paint, but when you've put fabric on, maybe it can't breathe anyway? I've painted with this paint in the laundry room and it turned out really well, though without any fabric underneath!

If you have applied fabric, you can basically paint with any color you want, but talk to the paint dealer and see what he says just to be sure.
