Hi, I'm planning to renovate the basement, so there's a lot of wall space and I'm thinking of stripping it down to the raw concrete walls to start with. The house will be drained in the spring. There are fabric wallpapers and some form of thin plaster coating. Where there has been moisture, everything comes off easily but elsewhere it's very stubborn. Any tips on easier ways to remove this besides scraping and sanding? (And what would you use for sanding since scratches and appearance underneath aren't important later?)

Demolition hammer with a wide chisel on the plasterboard, perhaps?

Maybe moisture works on the rest too? Try rinsing thoroughly with water.

Thanks for the tips. Currently, I don't have a hammer drill, but I will try with moisture and possibly an angle grinder, which was also suggested to me.
