A basement of 15 square meters is going to be converted into a bathroom. Hydronic floor heating will be installed throughout the room and will be controlled by a geothermal heat pump. Now the question is whether I should also install electric heating in the floor to keep it warm during the summer. Are there any tips for a good heating cable? Can I economize on the cable (meaning the electricity) and not run it under cabinets and possibly the 3-4 square meter large sauna? Or is that just too stingy? Regards, Johan

Underfloor heating in the summer is just for comfort, and you can definitely limit it to the areas you choose. Definitely not stingy, luxurious to have electric underfloor heating at all!
