Now in these cold times, I'm sitting and pondering a bit about the ventilation...

We have geothermal heating, with an electric heater for support when it's really cold, as heating. The ventilation is mechanical exhaust (fan outlet on the roof) that draws air from vents in the bathrooms and laundry room.

It feels a bit frustrating to have to draw out all the painstakingly heated air from the house, while at the same time letting in ice-cold air from outside, which can actually be experienced as drafts from wall vents and/or window vents...

I'm sitting and considering a heat exchanger, which heats the incoming air with the old air. I've looked around on the web and can't find much information. One that seems interesting is http://www.villavent.se/produkter/vm/index.asp

Does anyone know anything useful about these kinds of products and what a heat exchanger might cost?

The Luftkuben 100 seems to be reasonably priced at around 12000 including m&fra. I was lucky and got to buy a second-hand 480S for 5000:-. It has an efficiency of 80% and an electrofilter (less dust). In addition, spirorör and vents, etc., in my case about 5000:- for 50 m of pipe with a 125mm diameter, and a large box with bends and vents. It was very simple and quick to install, largely because we have a 1 1/2-story house.

Karl XII I received a quote from villavent, they would then want approximately 35000:- adjusted and completed.

The air cube looks good...I just want a simple little unit to warm the incoming air a bit..

Where can you find used stuff?
The quote from villavent, was that including their installation of the air ducts and materials as well?

Where have you run the pipes? In the attic spaces and then out into the floor joists? Where is the exchanger located?

I have a horizontal fan model, which I have placed in the attic space and also pulled the supply line 160 mm to then go down and between the joists. It extracts from the toilet, bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen (not the cooker hood) and blows into other rooms. It takes in air from the north gable because of summer temperatures.

We will also have a ground source heat pump and mechanical ventilation. For the ground source heat pump, we will have an exhaust air add-on module that sends the energy back to the pump before releasing the air from the bathroom, laundry room, kitchen.

Nibe 1210 and the unit Nibe FLM 30.

The ground source heat pump costs 33000 + VAT
The exhaust air heat pump costs approximately 7.3 + VAT.

The chimney sweep will clean your vent channels, Micke.
