Wall outside existing ugly concrete wall
We have a rather long ugly concrete wall, about 28 m. It is 2 meters high at one end and almost 1 meter at the other end. We are thinking of doing something about it, either painting or placing stone outside the wall. Painting feels like a short-term solution, as moisture and other factors will seep through. Additionally, small damages have to be repaired every year. Therefore, we are considering putting a new wall over the existing wall. This wall should be made of stone. The requirements for the wall blocks may not need to be very high, as no forces from the earth are placed on it. However, it should lock itself to avoid collapsing. Has anyone done a job like this and can share their experiences?
The wall cast and paneled.
It ended up being a total of 24-25 meters of wall. What I did was drill and plug the wall. Then I mounted pressure-treated 28X60 (split 20X120) vertically as the screw battens. Then I took regular 22X95 pressure-treated wood and mounted them horizontally with about a 1 cm gap. Made "covers" in the same way.
