Planning to build a house (wooden house) and we are exploring house suppliers. All of them praise their own wall construction, thickness, materials, etc. I would like to ask you, especially those with knowledge in the field, maybe someone who has been involved in building houses for house suppliers.

1. What parameters are important when reviewing the quality of the exterior wall?
2. If you have experience from building houses, perhaps for different suppliers, what type of wall do you recommend and why? Of course, it would be good to get the names of house companies that you believe have good construction.

Thank you and regards,
P.E.

The feeling you get when browsing around smaller suppliers is that they choose to skip the plastic film in the walls and use diffusion-open fabric and cellulose insulation. It sounds interesting with a wall that allows moisture movement like a stone house, but there are surely those who know this much better who can share their views.

I think Villa Varm's construction seems sensible. They have a "lättregel" with 340 mm insulation.

We ourselves have in our lösvirkesbyggda house 310 mm insulation.
220 mm standing studs, and 45 mm outside and inside with horizontal studs.
The house is warm and cozy with low energy consumption.

Personally, I believe more in fiberglass and vapor-tight 0.2 mm plastic film.
Why should you transport moisture out through the walls? The FTX takes care of that.
By the way, we actually have far too low humidity indoors during the winter months.
