Hello,
I am going to rebuild my garage, which is attached to the house, and I have been told that they must be fire-rated.
From what I've read and known before, double drywall should be enough?
But since I would like the wall not to be as fragile as a drywall wall is, for example, to lean a bike against the wall or similar, it will leave marks on the wall. Can it then be finished with some other type of material on the outermost layer, or how does it look?
I was first thinking of two layers of drywall, then OSB/Plywood or metal, for example.
Best regards, Fredrik

What fire rating do you need? I only needed EI30 between the garage and the house and then you really don't need anything fancy, träguiden.se has a good page with examples of partitions that meet different fire ratings which is easy to understand. It is quite likely that you can skip the plasterboard entirely if you just want to achieve the fire rating.
Hello!
Use 9mm Cembrit Multiforce as the last panel (fire class A1). I am uncertain about the fire class you need to achieve, and therefore cannot answer if the Cembrit alone will suffice. If it is not enough, you should first screw up regular drywall behind these.
I believe the Cembrit is nice enough as it is for a garage (pre-drilled holes for Montage screws), but it can also be painted.
If you need to cut these panels, it is best to do so with a plunge saw, and don't forget to connect a vacuum cleaner!

We have OSB+double plasterboard in the walls of the garage and my question is whether it's enough to screw Cembrit/Swisspearl Multi Force 9 mm or 12 mm into the OSB or if you necessarily need to find the studs? 2550x1200x9 weighs about 33 kg and the same size in 12 mm weighs about 45 kg.
My idea is to put them up with 60 mm mounting screws without having to "guess" where the studs are behind OSB+plasterboard+plasterboard...
