I am decorating a cold attic into a bedroom where the wall studs are spaced at 100-105 cm centers. I've already decided to use sprayed cellulose, partly to fill the existing stud spaces effectively. To achieve sufficient depth, I plan to attach a 45-stud on top of the existing ones. However, I'm considering what I should then place on top of the studs. Would OSB + drywall work despite the large center distance? Or should I install an extra stud between the existing ones to get a center distance of about 50 cm? Or is it better to use tongue and groove boards + drywall? The drywall can be screwed into the OSB or tongue and groove boards, it doesn't need to be anchored into the studs, right?

Right off the bat, I think that 22mm råspont with gypsum on top screwed with 30mm drywall screws will be great.
Your odd stud spacing is just a pain in the ass with whatever boards you use. Go with ändspontad råspont and there will be no waste.
22mm wood + gypsum should be stable enough if you're not planning to tile the wall, or ...?

Thanks for the tip!

If you are going to nail on 45ors on the outside, you can place them perpendicular to the old wall studs. And then set them at cc60. Then screw your OSB horizontally instead and finally the plasterboard standing. The plasterboard doesn't need to be anchored in studs. Especially not if the OSB is screwed cc60.
